Grow revenue, protect profit margin, enjoy running your business.

I needed some sage and savvy advice to help with the growth of my business. An initial contract of 3 months was agreed upon and she did not disappoint! One year later, we are stronger, more unified, focused, and moving in absolutely the right direction. Valerie’s Fractional COO duties extend way beyond the title – she brings a professional camaraderie that goes well beyond anything I could have expected but appreciate every single day.

We Make Stuff Happen

An Extra Right Hand

As the CEO, you have sole responsibility for every aspect of the business including day-to-day operations, implementing ideas, and solving problems. Being at the top can be an isolating experience.

You end up feeling drained and burned out.

When you hire a Fractional COO, you’re gaining a partner.

An F-COO can dig in and help with business problems that just won’t go away, block expansion of your business, and keep you awake at night.

A Fractional COO is your extra right hand to help your business succeed.

What Do We Do?

We get asked that all the time. Most people don’t know what a Fractional COO does.

Here are a few things we’ve done recently done:

Enhanced service delivery

We put in place simple, streamlined process that were easy for team members to implement to create better quality control and more consistently hit deadlines.

Developed price increase strategy

We analyzed operational costs, established organizational growth needs, and benchmarked industry pricing to establish a new competitive price structure.

Implemented sales process

We reviewed current sales practices, developed a streamlined, realistic process using available resources, and implemented sales tracking procedures and metrics.

Reworked staffing plan

We recommended changes in team skill set to better meet business needs then we implemented training to cross-train current team members in addition to sourcing, hiring, and coordinating training for new team members.

Improved accountability

Improved accountability: we restructured decision making responsibilities to push decisions down within the organization and to empower team members to respond to client needs more quickly.

Implemented Productivity Tracking System

Identified key industry metrics, implemented a tracking system, and customized the system to meet organizational needs.

Why We Do What We Do

There’s that moment when a new idea is implemented or a problem’s solved and things start to work in a way that’s never happened before.

The business owner sees their vision come to life and they’re able to achieve something they weren’t 100% sure they could do.  They feel proud of their accomplishment and more confident about the future of their business.

We love creating those moments.

Who We Work With

Working with a Fractional COO is a partnership. It’s important that it’s a fit for you and your business.

Our area of expertise is:

  • Serviced-based businesses
  • with 5 to 250 team members (employee, contractors, freelancers)
  • that currently generates $750,000 to $10,000,000 in annual revenue.

We do not work with manufacturing or product-based businesses. Not because we don’t love them. But because we wouldn’t be the best choice for them.

Valerie’s ability to quickly assess the rough spots in processes, recommend new procedures, and work with team members to transition to a better process enables organizations to operate more efficiently and effectively. She helps work teams reduce cycle time, improve quality, and create clear roles and responsibilities for each team member. Her ability to provide advice and work with CEOs, peer executives, and team members is an asset to any organization.

Smart To Finish

How We Do What We Do

There are two ways we work with businesses:

Project based:

Some businesses have a short-term need to implement an idea or solve a problem. We call this the Get It Done Sprint. We work with you to figure out what needs to be done and help you implement it in 60 days or less.

This is not us telling you to do all the work. We work right alongside you and your team all the way.

You get access to expert skills and get things done that makes a quick, direct impact on your business.

Retained F-COO Services:

We become a part of your team and provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operations and projects. We operate just like a regular COO, but on a part-time basis.

This is a great option for small businesses that are on a growth path but aren’t big enough yet to afford a full-time COO with an executive salary and all the perks.

So, you get the experience you need at a price you can afford.
